Yoga, a sandskrit word meaning "unite" or "connect", is an ancient art of harmonizing body, mind and spirit. In yoga the ultimate aim is self-development and self-realization.
Awareness is the secret of yoga. Everything you do becomes yoga if it’s done with awareness. Yoga allows you to be more aware of yourself and to feel connected.
A yoga practice makes the body flexible and strong (yin/yang), thus increasing your staying power. It also improves your respiratory, digestive and hormonal systems and can bring about emotional stability and clarity of mind. Think of your yoga practice as a means to realign and rebalance your body… inside and out.
Our classes appeal to all levels and can at times be challenging. If you are ready to be challenged, this might be for you. As in life, there is no growth without challenge… and facing challenges on or off your yoga mat are just opportunities to grow and learn.

"Yoga doesn't ask you to be more than you are, but it does ask you to be all that you are."

A Private Yoga Session creates a personalized and customized yoga experience specifically for you.
It begins by answering the question "What would you like to get out of your practice?" and builds it from there. These sessions are specific and unique to each of your needs, and encourage you to build a home practice that you love.
In consecutive sessions we will check your progress so that together we can review, correct and make changes or adjustments as necessary.
In these private sessions, it is my sole purpose to support your progress and personal transformation.
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self." – The Bhagavad Gita

Jill began her practice of yoga 10 years ago. After developing a problem with her hip due to a repetitive use injury, she added more yoga to her routine. She was pleasantly surprised to see the physical changes as well as the mental calmness that came with practice. Yoga has helped her become strong and flexible in both mind and body.
When the opportunity came up to take the teacher training, she couldn't resist! In her yoga classes she focuses on the holistic benefits of yoga - the connection between mind, body and spirit. Her intention is to guide you to let go of the busyness of life and connect inward… to let go of worries about the future or dwelling in the past, and become fully present in the moment.
She is very excited to pass on the many benefits of yoga to as many people as she can.
